Leicester's
is part of the Great House Hotel located in Laleston on the outskirts of
Bridgend. Named
for the Earl of Leicester, Queen Elizabeth I "favourite," our award winning
restaurant has twice been awarded 'County Restaurant of the Year' and
carries 2 AA Rosettes.
The menu ingredients are local and organic where possible and offers a good range of simple and more complicated dishes with an emphasis on clean flavours and tastes.

We are proud to announce that Mark Evans has taken over as our NEW head chef!
Mark is a young, enthusiastic and ambitious chef who enjoys challenging people's preconceptions of food. While we trust that the high standards already in place will be maintained, we are also looking forward very much to the fresh approach Mark brings to his menu and food.
Originally from Newport, Gwent, his training and background have taken him across South Wales. He has designed and set up a number of prestigious restaurant kitchens in and around Cardiff and hopes to establish a close relationship and rapport with our customers. He is certainly always ready to talk about food to whoever will listen (!)
